Call for papers for contributing to Concreta 28
Until September 15
Concreta 28 explores contemporary practices of solidarity and resistance, as well as the legacies of socialist and anarchist collectivism in art, dance, cultural production and activism. It examines the legacy of the antifascist movements of the 1960s and 1970s, together with experiments in social reproduction such as alternative pedagogies and anti-psychiatry, in order to consider their relevance today. In response to a present marked by protests, conflicts and the weakening or closure of smaller institutions, it proposes building alliances and networks of solidarity across Spain, Portugal, the Balkans, Palestine and Latin America.
Those interested should email info@editorialconcreta.org, using ‘Submission’ as the subject line, and include the title of the proposed contribution, an abstract of 500 words, their contact details (telephone number and email address), and a short biography. They should also submit a text of approximately 3,000 words, together with the corresponding illustrations and publication rights, on the understanding that all images will be printed in greyscale. The deadline for submissions is 15 September 2026. Selected contributors will be notified on 15 October.
