‘Press images are for me an inexhaustible source of material with which to work in one way or another. Some time ago I realised that, almost unconsciously, I collected images that I grouped together in one of my folders without a specific theme. Later, reviewing them, I saw that the presence of the female figure was a constant. I selected them because they called to me, they spoke to me or I found them attractive, that’s all. When I realised that there was a link between them, I thought that maybe there were more images of women than men in the media, and I decided to take some of the newspapers and count them all. I was very surprised to find that this was not the case at all’.
