The artist’s book Timelines (April, 2014) by Lia Perjovschi shows a timeline developed through the juxtaposition of images and text that forms the subjective history of the world from the Lythic Age to the present day. In addition, a series of notes and keywords made by the artist narrate these events, revealing her particular vision of the world.
“From the cave to the moon… from the subatomic world to the ultra-deep field… a selection of interesting discoveries, ideas and some wars (World War I, World War II, fall of communism and today’s terrorism)… conventional history is full of subjective visions of wars (heroes)… hidden or not so visible discoveries, interesting ideas, delays and misunderstandings, forgetfulness, lost or postponed projects… it all depends on the majority, a majority capable or not of understanding.”
